A short pre-summer break on the blog…

Dear Friends, 

10 years ago I was standing in the garden of our little house and I was wondering how does it come that even my heart beats slower when I am here. “I wish I could live here”, I thought, but my life led me into completely different directions, even after we finally moved in 3 years ago. The renovation of our house will be soon completed which I think is one of those few important milestones in life that I should  fully live and later write about. So I will take a short pre-summer break on Taste of Memories and will return with new stories and recipes written and created in our old-new home. 

On the photo you can see Aunt Rose, my mother’s sister and her husband Uncle Joseph who built our house at the beginning of the last century most probably mostly with their own hands. They are standing in front of the summer kitchen, which we transformed into THE KITCHEN and I really hope that if they were still with us, they would like the result of the renovation, the part we added to the history of this house.
